Reintegration
The illegal, dangerous reversal of severance — merging innie and outie back into one mind.
Updated through S1E2
Reintegration is the process of undoing severance so a person's innie and outie memories merge. Lumon insists it is impossible and fatal — Petey died of it — but the fugitive surgeon Reghabi performs it on Mark, proving it can be survived, if barely.
What's confirmed in canon
S1E2Petey, reintegrated, warns Mark and then dies of the "reintegration sickness".
S2Reghabi reintegrates Mark; his selves begin to bleed together, aiding and endangering him.
Where the community lands
Reintegration is the one thing Lumon truly fears: it dissolves the wall the whole company is built on. Fans see it as the resistance's ultimate weapon — and wonder whether a reintegrated person is healed, or something new.
