Executive Summary (TL;DR)

Ownership & licensing: You own your original text submissions, but you grant us a broad, irrevocable license to use, adapt, and distribute them.
Proprietary platform assets: Sparky Labs OPC Private Limited exclusively owns the Lorebase code, design, database structure, original editorial content, and all derived system outputs (rankings, analytics, metrics).
Third-party IP: All intellectual property belonging to external studios, creators, or television channels remains entirely theirs. Lorebase is an independent fan platform.
Prohibited exploits: Reverse engineering, scraping, hacking, or exploiting system vulnerabilities is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
Service availability: The platform is provided "as is" on a best-effort basis without guarantees of continuous uptime.

1. Acceptance and Authority

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Sparky Labs OPC Private Limited, the owner and operator of Lorebase. By accessing the Services, you affirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you do not agree, your sole recourse is to terminate your use of the Services immediately.

2. Intellectual Property Architecture

Your Content: You retain ownership rights to the raw text and media you voluntarily submit ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant Sparky Labs OPC Private Limited a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully sublicensable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content across any media or distribution method.
Lorebase Proprietary Content: All elements of the Lorebase platform—including but not limited to source code, object code, software architecture, database structures, user interface designs, layouts, graphics, branding, logos, original editorial text, and compilation metrics—are the exclusive property of Sparky Labs OPC Private Limited.
Platform-Derived Assets: Sparky Labs OPC Private Limited retains exclusive, unconditional right, title, and interest in all platform-generated data. This includes, without limitation, algorithmic outputs, reputation matrices, confidence scores, knowledge graphs, metadata associations, AI-generated summaries, and structured analytical models derived from user interactions.

3. Acceptable Use, System Exploitation, and Remedies

Access to the Services is a revocable privilege. You are strictly prohibited from engaging in any action that compromises the platform's security, operational integrity, or asset value.

You explicitly agree that you will not:

Decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code or underlying algorithms of the platform.
Exploit software vulnerabilities, execute injections, perform fuzzing, bypass authentication gates, or access unauthorized zones of the infrastructure.
Utilize automated scripts, spiders, bots, scrapers, or data-mining tools to extract content or manipulate platform metrics, voting systems, and prediction engines.

Legal Recourse and Liability: Any attempt to hack, exploit, manipulate, or reverse engineer the Services constitutes a material breach of this agreement and a violation of applicable computer fraud and cybercrime laws (including the Information Technology Act, 2000). Sparky Labs OPC Private Limited reserves the right to investigate violations, terminate access, and pursue available civil and criminal remedies, including injunctive relief, statutory penalties, and recovery of compensatory and punitive damages.

4. Third-Party Intellectual Property

Lorebase is entirely independent. All television show titles, franchise settings, character names, official storylines, logos, promotional imagery, and related intellectual property belong exclusively to their respective creators, networks, studios, channels, and rightsholders. Sparky Labs OPC Private Limited makes no claim of ownership or official affiliation with these external properties, and references them solely under fair use principles for community analysis, commentary, and entertainment purposes.

5. Copyright Complaints and Intermediary Safe Harbor

Sparky Labs OPC Private Limited operates as an intermediary platform. We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. If a creator, studio, or rightsholder believes that user-submitted content on the Services infringes upon their copyright, they must submit a formal takedown notice to our designated agent at: hello@lorebase.online.

To be valid, the takedown notice must include: a physical or electronic signature of the rightsholder; identification of the copyrighted work and the specific allegedly infringing material (including URLs); a statement of good faith belief that the use is unauthorized; and a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate.

Upon receipt of a valid notice, we reserve the right to promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content in accordance with applicable safe harbor frameworks, including Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. SPARKY LABS OPC PRIVATE LIMITED EXPLICITLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TIMELINESS, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SPARKY LABS OPC PRIVATE LIMITED, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR INABILITY TO ACCESS THE SERVICES; (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICES; OR (C) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India, without respect to its conflict of laws principles. Any legal action, suit, or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
