Frances Warren (Richard's youngest daughter) fled the 1702 escape wearing a distinctive blue-and-white brooch. She fell overboard at the Dead Zone boundary but survived. The brooch reappears in a historical portrait seen in S1E9, which Patricia cross-references with Sarah Warren's diary to identify Frances as the surviving descendant. Ruth Livingston wears an identical brooch.
Evidence Chain
S1E6Sarah Warren's diary describes Frances wearing 'a blue and white brooch with a crow motif'.
S1E7Richard's personal effects (exhumed) are missing the brooch - Frances took it.
S1E9Historical portrait shows a woman missing her left ring finger wearing the brooch - confirmed as Frances.
S1E9Ruth Livingston is observed wearing a brooch matching the description. Patricia connects the dots.
Resolution
Confirmed: Frances Warren survived by clutching the brooch (possibly protective object) and was rescued. Ruth is her direct descendant.

The Cylinder Pendant Infection Thread
Richard Warren used a sealed cylinder pendant containing black mushroom powder mixed with blood to renew the pact. When Wyck Crawford opened the pendant in S1E7, he lacerated his palm on the mechanism. Later, Wyck and Richard were observed singing the exact same obscure sailor's shanty in different locations. Fans believe the entity transferred something to Wyck via the pendant blood contact.
Evidence Chain
S1E7Wyck opens the cylinder pendant. Blood contact. He shows no immediate reaction.
S1E7Richard and Wyck sing the same sailor's shanty simultaneously in different locations.
S1E8Wyck seems unnaturally calm after Richard's dissolution. Not grieving. Not relieved.
S1E9Wyck pushes hard for Ruth's sacrifice. His certainty reads differently than his usual pragmatism.

The Sacrificial Infrastructure Thread
The Warren basement contains a bloody sacrificial chair and restraints that show modern modifications. Richard was entombed in a decoy coffin and presumably inactive. Yet the sacrifice mechanism was maintained across 300+ years. Someone has been acting as caretaker. The museum curator Jerry has unusual access to Warren estate history and a direct genealogical fixation.
Evidence Chain
S1E61702 flashback shows original sacrificial chamber beneath the Warren dining room.
S1E7Present-day chamber shows modern restraints alongside original equipment. Updated post-1702.
S1E8Jerry has full access to Warren estate basement through her museum curator role.
S1E8Jerry's brother Mark was 'lost to the sea' decades ago. Wyck's guilt about 'Mark' is mentioned obliquely.

The Boogeyman's Lesser Pact Thread
The Boogeyman exhibited supernatural durability matching Richard Warren's. The show confirmed he had consumed black mushrooms creating a secondary pact-level protection. Patricia's victory was psychological: the Boogeyman's power was rooted in Patricia's fear. When she refused fear and stood her ground, his supernatural protection collapsed.
Evidence Chain
S1E8Boogeyman survives a car impact and fall from a second floor - Richard-level durability.
S1E8Black mushroom residue found in Boogeyman's belongings at the school (flashback evidence).
S1E8Patricia cremating him is required because he can't be simply killed - same protocol as Richard.
Resolution
Confirmed: The Boogeyman had a secondary pact via mushroom consumption. Suggests other island residents may hold similar lesser pacts.

The Dead Zone Exception Thread
The Dead Zone maritime boundary kills native-born islanders who try to cross. Yet Frances Warren survived crossing the boundary in 1702, which is what enabled the curse to persist. The mechanism of her survival is unconfirmed. This matters because if there's an exception, it may be the escape route.
Evidence Chain
S1E5Lauren's attempted escape shown in Tom's Truesight vision. Stroke on the boat crossing the boundary.
S1E6Richard's children suffer physiological breakdown at the boundary. Frances falls overboard.
S1E7Richard himself dissolves when transported past the boundary by Tom and Wyck.
S1E9Frances survived - confirmed by her portrait and Ruth's existence. How remains unexplained.

The Truesight Mushroom Gateway
Black mushrooms native to Widow's Bay enable 'true sight' - perception of dimensional reality and communication with the entity. Richard used them to seal the original 1681 pact. Tom consumed them in S1E5. Father Bryce consumed something from the forest well immediately before his suicide. The mushrooms appear to be the island's primary communication mechanism.
Evidence Chain
S1E1Shep Clark's medical chart: age 37, appearance 70. Dead Zone temporal distortion confirmed.
S1E5Tom consumes black mushroom tea. Sees the entity. Witnesses Lauren's escape attempt and stroke.
S1E5Father Bryce drinks from the forest well and sees something that leads to his immediate suicide.
S1E8Boogeyman's secondary pact enabled by mushroom consumption.

The Warren Bloodline Paternity Thread
Tom revealed Lauren was already pregnant when they married. Evan's physical appearance contrasts markedly with both Tom and photographs of Lauren. If Lauren was herself a Warren descendant through a branch separate from Frances, Evan would be the true last Warren heir - not Ruth. This would make Ruth a deliberate misdirection.
Evidence Chain
S1E2Tom: 'Four months later, we were married. And yes, it's no secret she was already pregnant.' Evan's father is unconfirmed.
S1 recurringEvan's physical features don't match Tom or Lauren's photographs.
S1E5Tom's Truesight vision fixates unusually on Lauren's failed escape.
S1E9Rosemary's genealogy identifies Ruth via the Frances/Fisher line. The Barnabas Fisher descendants beyond Frances's branch remain uncharted.

Shep Clark's Time Displacement
Captain Shep Clark disappears in the S1E1 fog and returns half-dead. His medical chart shows age 37; he appears approximately 70 years old. The Breakwater Inn's Captain's Suite is confirmed to operate outside normal time (Tom experiences 'thirty seconds' differently inside). Shep's condition suggests the fog or the Dead Zone has temporal properties.
Evidence Chain
S1E1Shep Clark's medical chart: biological age markers consistent with 70s. Registry shows birth year making him 37.
S1E2Tom: 'Thirty seconds in there felt like thirty minutes.' Captain's Suite confirmed temporal distortion.
S1E3Shep has no memory of time passing. His last memory is fog, then waking in his boat 33 years older.
