Frances Warren (Richard's youngest daughter) fled the 1702 escape wearing a distinctive blue-and-white brooch. She fell overboard at the Dead Zone boundary but survived. The brooch reappears in a historical portrait seen in S1E9, which Patricia cross-references with Sarah Warren's diary to identify Frances as the surviving descendant. Ruth Livingston wears an identical brooch.

Richard Warren used a sealed cylinder pendant containing black mushroom powder mixed with blood to renew the pact. When Wyck Crawford opened the pendant in S1E7, he lacerated his palm on the mechanism. Later, Wyck and Richard were observed singing the exact same obscure sailor's shanty in different locations. Fans believe the entity transferred something to Wyck via the pendant blood contact.

The Warren basement contains a bloody sacrificial chair and restraints that show modern modifications. Richard was entombed in a decoy coffin and presumably inactive. Yet the sacrifice mechanism was maintained across 300+ years. Someone has been acting as caretaker. The Boogeyman exhibited supernatural durability matching Richard Warren's. The show confirmed he had consumed black mushrooms creating a secondary pact-level protection. Patricia's victory was psychological: the Boogeyman's power was rooted in Patricia's fear. When she refused fear and stood her ground, his supernatural protection collapsed.

The Dead Zone maritime boundary kills native-born islanders who try to cross. Yet Frances Warren survived crossing the boundary in 1702, which is what enabled the curse to persist. The mechanism of her survival is unconfirmed. This matters because if there's an exception, it may be the escape route.

Black mushrooms native to Widow's Bay enable 'true sight' - perception of dimensional reality and communication with the entity. Richard used them to seal the original 1681 pact. Tom consumed them in S1E5. Father Bryce consumed something from the forest well immediately before his suicide. The mushrooms appear to be the island's primary communication mechanism.

Tom revealed Lauren was already pregnant when they married. Evan's physical appearance contrasts markedly with both Tom and photographs of Lauren. If Lauren was herself a Warren descendant through a branch separate from Frances, Evan would be the true last Warren heir - not Ruth. This would make Ruth a deliberate misdirection.

Captain Shep Clark disappears in the S1E1 fog and returns half-dead. His medical chart shows age 37; he appears approximately 70 years old. The Breakwater Inn's Captain's Suite is confirmed to operate outside normal time (Tom experiences 'thirty seconds' differently inside). Shep's condition suggests the fog or the Dead Zone has temporal properties.

A late reveal pans beneath the Salty Whale to a tunnel system and a hidden room holding a restraint chair and an out-of-place bulkhead. The island's founding account is corrected from 42 settlers to 43, and the pre-settlement island is described as barren 'except for the teeth.'
